As a Mom of a 3-year-old i needed an alternative…

Traditional pre-k wasn’t the best option for our family last year. In the midst of Covid, I found myself searching for a safe alternative to an in-person pre-k program for our son that was still enriching. I spent hours scouring the internet and pinterest for something, then it hit me- why not design what I’m looking for- a virtual program that promotes school readiness and still allows some social interaction. Molly and I teamed up, and our Play at Home Pre-k Program was born. Combining my expertise in child development and Molly’s in early childhood education has resulted in a thoughtful curriculum full of engaging activities for you and your child.

Molly Wilcox, MAT, MSW

My name is Molly Wilcox. I was born and raised in Sparks, Maryland, and I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools at Padonia International Elementary School.  I attended Towson University, where I received my Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Early Childhood Education. As a teacher at an international school, I work with many children who speak English as a second language. I have taught Pre-K students at Hunt Valley Church since I was in high school, and I lead the Hunt Valley Church preschool story times. I have been married to my husband, Jesse, since 2018, and I enjoy spending time with my family, including my 5 nephews and 4 nieces. Teaching Pre-K is not just my job but also my passion. I believe that God has gifted me in the area of teaching young children, and I am excited to be a part of this play at home pre-k program.
