What is in the box?

  • All the materials and supplies you need to follow along with our lessons from your home. No need to buy additional supplies!

    • Every child gets a box (or bag) of materials for each unit complete with all of the items needed to follow along with our lessons.

    • New materials are given out with each new unit. 1 Unit= 4 weeks of instruction, you will pick up a box with new materials once a month.

    • We offer a local box pick-up day once a month in Baltimore and Harford County. Shipping materials can be made available for an additional charge based on location.

  • Each unit box includes four weeks’ worth of activities. (3 days/week)

    • Each box will have a simple Parent Guide explaining the activities to complete at home. Some activities are crafts, others are gross motor activities, but all the activities were expertly selected to support your child’s development.

    • Each day will have one activity focused on:

      • early math concepts,

      • the letter of the day/early literacy,

      • the unit or theme for the month (ie. all about me, animals) for a total of three activities per day.

    • Every child is different. Some activities will be a hit that you come back to repeatedly, others your child may breeze through. Activities are geared towards 3-5-year-olds and we estimate you will spend between 30-45 minutes each day completing activities depending on your child.

    • You have complete flexibility about when you do the activities, in what order etc. If you want to switch up the order of the activities or do all the activities on one day during the week go for it!

    • A note on our faith- Mel and Molly are both Christians. We believe that all people are fearfully and wonderfully made by God and that these are important concepts to teach our children. These truths are sprinkled throughout our activities and appear in our weekly unit virtual lessons. Some of the unit videos include a story from the bible and some of the books we select talk about God. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like additional information on how faith is incorporated.

Thinking outside the box:

  • Three virtual lessons each week

    • This program gives you access to three prerecorded virtual lessons a week on different topics.

    • Each lesson corresponds to the weekly theme, math concept, or letter of the week/literacy concept.

    • The weekly theme/unit video of the week is presented from a Christian-faith-based worldview. We tell/read stories from the Bible and include a monthly “memory verse” from the Bible.

    • Videos will be prerecorded and saved to our private youtube channel which you can access at any time during the program.

    • Each lesson will be approximately 15 minutes each.

  • LOTS of Supplemental Activities

    • Some things just don’t fit in a box… So we are giving you multiple specific supplemental activities each week that relate to the theme!

    • We provide one suggested family outing each week that corresponds to the theme.

    • Join us for optional “meet-ups” with other families.
